Our company XL Enterprises Limited has been manufacturing fine leathergoods for more than 20 years. We are the only leathergoods manufacturer in India, having the prestigious status of a public limited company. We are also one of the first leathergoods manufacturer in India to receive ISO 9001:2000 certification.

Equipments-State-of-the-art
Most of our leathergoods are manufactured with leathers imported from Italy and Spain. Our factories have equipments imported from Germany and Italy.

Specialised Equipments: Made to order
There are, however, some specialised equipments not available with any manufacturer in the world as they are made to order as per our specifications.

Annual production : Over a million pieces
The models shown in the catalog bears the hallmark of the high degree of craftsmanship and precision of our manufacturing process. We manufacture over a million pieces of leathergoods each year. Around half of our production is made up of popular styles for customers who look for good quality leather and high degree of craftsmanship.

Confidentiality agreement with Buyers
The balance half of our production is made up of complicated and designer styles, which only a few in the world are capable of manufacturing. A number of these models are not displayed in our website (www.exelfashions.com) or catalog because of time-bound confidentiality agreements with our customers.

Support to globally renowned brands
A number of our buyers, who are globally renowned brands, work with us not just because of consistent quality and timely shipments, they also depend on us for continuous product development for which we have our dedicated team of in-house designers and merchandisers.

Columbus Handcrafted : Own brand for US market
From 2006 we have started shipping our leathergoods directly to more than 200 independent retail stores in the US under our own brand

Background Of The Founder
XL has been founded by Mr. Sajal Dutta twenty years ago. Mr. Sajal Dutta is a graduate Mechanical Engineer who completed his post graduation in business management from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta.

The vision of the company has been to match the craftsmanship and the handcrafting expertise of the East with consistent quality standards, delivery deadlines and product development needs of the West. It is with this vision that all company managers, supervisors and staff are trained rigorously.

While products are what the customers see, consistent product quality can only be achieved with top quality people. With one Vice President and 4 General Managers, XL has a compact team of 30 managerial people - a number of them MBA's.
